Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide massage therapy services and operate this website:

• Booking information: name, email, phone, and appointment details you submit through our Square Appointments booking system.
• Health intake: information you voluntarily disclose about injuries, pregnancy, medications, or health conditions so Jill can tailor your session safely.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Square. We do not see or store your card numbers.
• Website analytics: if enabled, aggregated, non-identifying usage data (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). IP addresses are anonymized.

Health Information & HIPAA

Pure Serenity is a private, cash-pay massage therapy practice and does not bill insurance. As such, we are generally not a "covered entity" under HIPAA. Regardless, we treat health intake information as confidential: it is stored securely, accessed only by Jill Degenhardt, LMT, and is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing. We retain intake records only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide continuity of care, and you may request deletion at any time (see "Your Rights" below).

How We Use Your Information

• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule your appointments.
• Customize your massage session to your needs and goals.
• Send occasional service-related messages (e.g., confirmations, cancellations, policy updates).
• Process payments through Square.
• Improve this website and understand how visitors use it (via aggregated analytics only).

Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted vendors whose own privacy policies govern the data they handle:

• Google Analytics (optional): aggregated usage statistics, if enabled.
• Vercel: website hosting.

Your Rights (including Texas residents)

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and similar laws, Texas residents have the right to:

• Confirm whether we are processing your personal data.
• Access a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate personal data.
• Request deletion of your personal data, subject to limited legal and professional-records exceptions.
• Opt out of any sale of personal data (we do not sell data).

Cookies

This website uses only essential cookies required for navigation and, if analytics are enabled, anonymized measurement cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Minors may receive massage services only with a parent or guardian's consent and presence as required by Texas law.
